Hey [Younger Me],
Life after high school wasn’t a smooth ride; I had my fair share of ups and downs. Picture this – tears, struggles, and moments when life felt like a puzzle missing some crucial pieces. But here’s the kicker – in those tough times, I found my rock, my go-to: faith in God.
It wasn’t like a magical switch flipped; it was more of a gradual thing. I started letting go of my fears and insecurities, handing them over to a higher power. God became my wingman through the highs and lows, a constant source of comfort when the going got tough.
Fast forward a bit, and there I was, praying not just for relief but for a partner who’d be my teammate in this crazy journey. I even had a checklist of characteristics I was looking for. And, guess what? Just two weeks later, I stumbled upon the guy who would become my husband. We took our sweet time, let things happen naturally, and after three years, we tied the knot.
Our love story wasn’t a perfect fairy tale; we faced health struggles and life’s curveballs. But God had a plan. He blessed me with a partner and best friend, someone to navigate the bumpy roads alongside me.
Now, a little advice for someone in the same boat as you, younger me – the dating scene has changed. Social media is all the rage, but don’t let it dictate your relationships. Trust in God; keep the faith. Your path might not look like everyone else’s, but with Him, it always works out. Our story happened without swiping left or right, and it’s proof that genuine connections stand the test of time.
Oh, and about life not being perfect – trust me, it’s far from it. We all carry our baggage, face our own battles, and wrestle with our imperfections. But here’s the kicker: in embracing the messy parts, we find the strength to rebuild, the resilience to endure, and the grace to rise above it all.
So, to anyone in the same boat, as you tackle life’s rollercoaster, remember this – imperfections are the spice of life. Embrace them, hand your worries to God, and trust that He’s got a plan, even when you can’t see it. I encourage you to think about what you would tell your younger self.
Cheers to the journey, [Your Older, Wiser Self]

Your “Letter to My Younger Self” is beautiful. Taking stock, reflecting on the past while embracing imperfections is amazing. I’ve been working on letting go of my worries and trusting in God’s journey.
Yes, God always has a plan, and it’s not always the easiest way. His timing is perfect, even if we might not see it that way at the time. Thank you so much for sharing this letter to your younger self. It’s so valuable to look back and reflect upon God’s work in our lives.
This was such a lovely read. I am always so grateful for how far I’ve come with the help of God. If only we could tell ourselves it will all be okey in the end.
